These plastic hangers do exactly what they are supposed to do and are my favorite hangers. I haven't had any issues with sharp edges or raised parts - the hanger is smooth and the ones I've looked at up close don't look like they'll snag my clothes. The only part that might seem rougher is under the main hook - there is a plastic backed part with small plastic dots (10 on each side) which I find quite odd but don't detract from the usefulness of the hanger. to me. The two tiny side hooks come in handy for strappy clothing that can usually slip off the hanger. It is definitely lighter, so it may not go well with heavy winter clothing. However, I've tried them on some of my mid-weight jackets and they work great, so they meet my expectations. Note that the ones I received did NOT have reinforced plastic on both corners as advertised (mine looks like the 'old guy' in the picture, not like the 'upgraded' one), but it bothers me don't mind as they still feel good.
