I am sorry to say how disappointed I am in the quality of this sweater. I ordered this sweater as a Christmas present for my 84 year old Mother. When the sweater arrived, I was very happy with the appearance in the package. I wrapped the present to be given as her Christmas present. She was very excited to receive it on Christmas morning. I went to visit my Mother yesterday and she was wearing the sweater to show me she liked the present. I was horrified to see the condition of the sweater. It has multiple strings hanging loose, the sweater is pilling terribly and it looks like the sweater is 10 years old. I asked her about the condition of the sweater and my Mom confirmed she had only worn the sweater 3 times since receiving it. To make matters worse, she has only worn the sweater while sitting around her house because she does not drive. She never even washed the sweater because it was hand wash only. I paid over $40 for this sweater expecting to get a nice piece of clothing that my Mother could be proud to wear. She is so embarrassed about the condition of the sweater that I doubt she will ever wear it out of the house. I asked her to give me the sweater so I could return it but she refuses to have me return it. As a Mother, she feels that would be the equivalent of her saying she does not like the gift. The sad thing is, I also gave my 81 year old Aunt one of these sweaters for Christmas after originally being impressed with the sweater when it was first received. My Aunt will not let me return the sweater either. It is very disappointing to have spent just under $100 for two sweaters and have them be falling apart just a couple of weeks after the gifts were open.
