I bought these pigs to scavenge the winter grime that cars bring into the garage. I have used old towels in the past and it was a big mess. They are very good at absorbing melting ice and dirt falling from cars. This is probably a new market for New Pig (they are usually sold for industrial/machine shop applications). I bought the 48" version so they would be easy to handle and store in the summer (an old trash can will do). Now for the cons. They don't fill socks, so they're not really 3 inches in diameter. I understand they need to leave some space to fold in half for transport. Everything would be fine, but some were about half full - that's not enough. The rest was about 3/4 full. They must be 90% full. As a result, you'll need twice as many "pigs" as you would expect from the size of your garage alone.
