Let me get more lift out of my mattress
This is firm but comfortable. I bought it to go on top of my "unflippable" mattress, which is only a couple years old and used only as a guest bed. When I put this padding on one side of the bed it felt too soft and I could still feel the concave middle of my mattress. However, when I flipped it over, although it isn't made to be flipped, it felt much better. It isn't the fault of the padding. I think it would be more comfortable on a harder surface, not on top of a mattress.
