Review on ๐Ÿ”ฅ RAPICCA Fire Resistant Leather Fireplace Gloves by Mike Bucher

If it is Kevlar thread, YOU NEED ANOTHER SUPPLIER!

I received these gloves a few hours ago. Yesterday I spent too much time in the cold, so relax today. Gloves arrived (with other items) in perfect condition. According to another review I read, there was a noticeable difference in quality between the two gloves. First, the skin "looked" of high quality. On the other hand, the leather was a bit stiff with a few light scuffs, but I wouldn't rate it for that. I went through my usual process of warming up the gloves. The first glove (right hand, good leather) was fine. Almost as flexible as my worn pair. The left hand was a different story. I was almost done warming up when I noticed a separation on the inside of the base of two fingers (see photo). Complete separation under the middle finger that transitions slightly into the ring finger. I noticed that a piece of thread had snapped at both ends, so I pulled it out. I took 2 pairs of needle nose pliers and started snapping the thread half expecting this piece would break where the pliers grab it. No, I was wrong! The thread broke in the middle of an inch length where there was NO VISIBLE DAMAGE OR STRINGING. It broke so easily it's definitely NOT Kevlar! I've been using Kevlar thread for over 30 years. .It's not! Although not mentioned in the above description, the listing specifically states that these gloves are sewn together with Kevlar filament.Gloves, this is essential. As you can see from the pictures, it wasn't too tightly sewn edge of the skin, the only thing that didn't work here was the thread. Find a reliable supplier for your filament! --------------------------------- UPDATED January 31, 2020: I bet it's the first one. A few hours after the publication of the review, there is already an update. *lol* But that's actually a request to the manufacturer. Perhaps the seller can contact the manufacturer and forward this message. I keep thinking about these gloves. They had many thoughts. Looks like two other sellers with the same gloves but not the same branding. None of the other sellers mention anything about Kevlar thread. Some of you are probably wondering what's the deal? Well, these gloves have an extra layer of leather in all the right places. A prerequisite for this, however, is that the thread is suitable for all these reinforcements. In this case, the gloves couldn't survive the warm-up process, let alone make it to the store. I would REALLY like to see these gloves with Kevlar thread again. When that happens, they could BECOME THE MOST INCREDIBLE WELDING GLOVES EVER MADE! Everything from lining, thermal protection, leather reinforcement - everything is included! Anything but carving. If you can solve this problem, I promise I will buy your gloves for the rest of my working life! Yes, the design is so good! So this is a request to the manufacturer -- PLEASE fix the threading issue.

Pros
  • EXCELLENT PARTITION PROTECTION
Cons
