I had high hopes for this product. It looks great, and it seems sensible enough to do it yourself with a flexible gasket to seal it. Unfortunately, the cabinet is so poorly assembled that it is completely unusable. The entire unit is made from "Z-Board” which is essentially corrugated board with a wood veneer. I've included a picture of the inside of one of the boards to show how awful the pet furniture material is. To compound the problem, the entire block is held together with wooden pegs and 3M double-sided tape that isn't sticky enough to hold the block in place. (Also shown) But I tried it directly. It fell apart within a day. Attempted attachment with glue and sealant. Three days after it was put back on, the device fell apart **while my cat was inside**, with the top and back collapsing onto my cat. She wasn't hurt, but that's why it's difficult for me to use the tray now. This product is not only of poor quality, but also dangerous. If I could I would give less than one star. Insult to injury: The box it comes in is taped together so figuring out how to pack it for a return is a complete pain. This is a product that should be avoided completely.
