Line it with shelf paper. Use continuous pieces at the seams.

We had guests in the basement for a year and had to take the tray upstairs and could only put it in the living room. We have 2 cats and we use a large litter box. After reading helpful reviews we put it up as a shelf liner so I could be there if there was a mess. When lining, I made sure to use one continuous piece at the seams. We received a tall sided tray from Target and it barely fit. We cut its edge on one side so it goes in and out normally. It's cute and works well. It doesn't really…

Terrible quality, not worth it. waste of time and money.

I was very excited about this as it suited my home very well and I liked the clean lines of the box. However, I quickly became disillusioned when I started collecting it. I can only assume that the damage happened during shipping, but if that could have happened during shipping I can't imagine it holding up well at all. It wasn't even possible to assemble it (although I tried). The pins went in too deep, the corners were completely broken or dented, and the tape they gave didn't have a flat…

Exactly like description.

This product is exactly as described, if you read the product description it absolutely says it is high quality fashion board. Once assembled, it appears to be real wood. No, it is not suitable for sitting or standing! It hides the tray very well. This is a very decent size. My cats love it and have no problem with it. Assembly is very easy and holds up well. This is a good price for this product as I have seen other litter boxes made from real cardboard for around $60. If you're looking for…

Simple and lightweight

Not sure what I was expecting but it wasn't. The product is lightweight as it is a paper-covered cardboard box attached with dowels and tape. So far this serves the purpose I intended. I use it to store cat food. The half wall protects our big dog from food. The cats seem to love it and only need to be shown where the food is once. I'm glad I bought a separate litter box cabinet as I'm not sure how well this cabinet will hold up to any type of moisture. I keep water on the floor in front of the

Poorly designed, useless and dangerous for your pets.

I had high hopes for this product. It looks great, and it seems sensible enough to do it yourself with a flexible gasket to seal it. Unfortunately, the cabinet is so poorly assembled that it is completely unusable. The entire unit is made from "Z-Board” which is essentially corrugated board with a wood veneer. I've included a picture of the inside of one of the boards to show how awful the pet furniture material is. To compound the problem, the entire block is held together with wooden pegs and
