The base of the standard mirror has a cut out where it was originally mounted over the door hinge bracket but this bracket does not fit flush in that area and sag down leaving a gap between the base of the mirror and the bracket. Over-tightening the mirror's three torx screws risks breaking the mirror's base. The two holes used to attach the mount to the windshield were in the wrong place, placing it too close to the hinge. When I reinstalled my hard doors and closed the door, the bracket touched the hinge and scratched everything. Hinge color in this range. I switched to a kit from another leader in the Jeep market and spent $30 on it.
