I am normally about a size 14 but ordered this in a size 16 as I am 24 weeks pregnant and needed to allow room for my belly, this caused the top to be oversized and gap around the arms but I believe it would fit true to size if I had ordered a size 14 as I normally would have. I wore this for Halloween as a flapper costume and got quite a few compliments including that I would easily wear it out dancing as a normal dress. With the decoration there is some weight to the dress but it was very comfortable and not itchy or hot in Florida heat. Overall this is a really pretty dress for a costume or if you just want those 1920s vibes.
