It used to be better, but still bearable if you carry it around.
I love that this is not a paste deodorant but this product lasted much longer in the original packaging as another user said. I use the same amount as in the original box. It may take 4-5 hours for the smell to go away. I could easily spend a whole day with the old style. Change the formula then I could buy again.
