I originally bought one of these jugs to see if I liked the design and have since bought two more. I have 39 oz Navy Blue, 59 oz Turquoise and 28 oz Gray. They are used to store coffee (59 oz), coffee filters (39 oz) and hot cocoa mix (28 oz) in the beverage area. All lids fit except one that I can't hold down all the way (28 oz). I could try moving the silicone seal on the lid, but that's not a problem at the moment. In terms of size, 28 ounces isn't big enough to hold the contents of a 13.8 ounce can of hot cocoa. The 59 oz size is good for storing coffee grounds. It holds about 20 ounces of ground coffee and easily fits in a measuring cup. The ceramic is shiny, free from defects and looks good overall. I've had no problems with cracks or chips and have washed the glasses in the dishwasher with no problems.
