My German Shepherd who was my companion dog died recently at the age of 8. Needless to say, the devastation was almost unbearable. I have "regular" pets, but I feel different when it's your companion dog, who literally goes with you everywhere, who you depend on in your life, who does so much for you and asks next to nothing in return. This urn was perfect for that. I cried when he died. I cried when I had to order this. And I cried even more when it came in the mail. It's very small but perfect for what I need because I wear it all the time. Instead of putting his ashes in, I took a few strands of his hair (anyone with a GSD can tell you they turn out horribly, so I had to try to get a lot of hair in there!) and put them in instead. It really sucks that this happened, but this urn made it a little bit easier.
