Review on ๐Ÿฆ Enhanced Clean Water Silo Waterer for Birds by Pet Company - A Must-Have Bird Accessory! by Stacy Harris

Great product, let me clarify some of the issues you may be encountering.

With proper use, this water tank could be the best thing you will ever put in a baby's cage. I went through all 127 reviews for this product and after purchasing two for my two cockatiels (Sting and Rogue) I chuckled at the issues some were having. There is already a great review that tops the list of most helpful with pictures describing the issues you may be facing and what you are doing wrong and I recommend finding that review as well as this the reason was why i decided to give this product a chance. This funnel should only be used for VERTICAL bars. Yes you can raise it to work with horizontal bars but you CANNOT remove the chute with the silo so people just removing the hopper get water all over the house. The plastic shut-off valve is not designed to stop the flow of water immediately when removed from the trough, but to fill the trough with water. Placing this silo on the vertical bars (my cage is 3/4 spacing and almost the maximum width this product can handle as it almost snaps onto the bars before you screw it in) allows the chute to come together Easy to remove with the funnel makes it easy to drain the old water into the sink by turning the funnel upside down, then removing the inverted chute and emptying the funnel. It's a lot easier than it sounds step by step, but some people didn't seem to get the product right yet, so I felt like I had to do it in numbers. 2. Filling this product couldn't be easier. After removing the chute, hold the silo upside down so that the check valve is hanging and there is a hole for water to flow through. Personally, I use filtered water from the fridge to give my kids cold, fresh water. Once the bunker is almost full. Take it out of the fridge and ATTACH the feeder while flipping it over. Those other users trying to throw it in the trough and spilling water all over the place are missing out on a simple but important step to make this whole process cleaner. 3rd and probably the most important. Give your birds time to figure it out. I received my birds about a week after their parents stopped feeding them and they have just figured out how water and food bowls work. It took them almost 2 days to figure out how to find their seed pen (another great product) and it wasn't until day 4 that I finally saw the bird drinking from the trough. At this point I put a small bowl of seeds and a bowl of water on the floor of their cage away from their usual perches to avoid pooping and when they get hungry they start foraging. Cockatiels' natural instinct was to climb to the bottom of the cage in search of food, but after exploring their new home for a few days, they found access to all of their other resources. Just remove your livelihood if you see them finding other sources of food and water. In conclusion, I hope that some of these tips have helped users who wanted to throw this product on the wall. Yes it's plastic and not the most durable in the world but what JW advertises they deliver pretty well. I hope this has been of some help to some of you, and happy birding! :)
