I won't know until heavier freezes hit but according to this spec it would have prevented the leak I experienced after a recent freeze in Texas. This is definitely the case where it fits perfectly and works great. I read a comment that mentioned it might use more water per flush than the original, but this confuses me as the amount of water used depends on how long the valve is open, which is up to the user - it is not like a home restroom in that sense. The only suggestion I can make is to install an elbow or flexible fitting to make it easier to reattach the umbilical and tighten the fitting. At least in my van there is very little space behind the toilet. I reinstalled the toilet only to find I had a very slow leak. I had to remove and replace the toilet to get proper access to the fitting. However, the actual installation of the valve itself in place of the original is very simple.
