These radios are reliable, easy to use and have good battery life; the range is pretty decent and reasonable too; Customer service is also very professional. We used our radio during a group tour. It's fun to coordinate with the other cars in your column. However, I'm deducting 1 star because the plastic they used for the front grille is very, very brittle. My radio was attached to my seat belt on the left side and I accidentally bumped it into the car while getting groceries from the right rear passenger side of the car. The grille on the front panel just fell apart - also a very weak impact. The radio still works, but now it annoys me when I look at it. I admit that I am partly to blame for this issue, but I wish they had used a more durable material. Now I need to start looking for a front case/panel replacement. In general, radios are inexpensive, just treat them with reasonable care. and then some EXTRA maintenance.
