A product that just works well
I use a lot of cast iron and have tried different methods of cleaning. This chain mail is suitable for light to medium dirt. I find it best to work when the pan is still warm. I add some canola oil and rub the chain. You need to find a place for the chain because it will be oily and I won't clean it every time. But I find the chain easy to clean (just put it in soapy water and rinse it off). For really badly burned-in layers I use the "steam" cleaning, but it's rare that I'm good with this tool.
