Review on New Balance 940V4 Running Magnet Men's Shoes for Athletic by John Ruelas

I tried the products from NB Fresh Foam. I find Fresh Foam too stiff compared to the good cushioning you get from their earlier 1200 series like the 1220 and 1260. IMHO the 940 is the best shoe to buy for those who have the NB series Love 1260. The shoe has good cushioning, no Fresh Foam, great stability, big toe box and 1/4 size larger than their Fresh Foam products. The only problem is that the 940 is usually sold at full price and now you know why. FYI, this shoe is a similar sizing to 1260, so you don't need to go up a size. It comes in 2E and the 940 2E is the real 2E.
