Pleasant surprise in my review.

After almost two years of hoping to buy a very specific New Balance shoe replacement and getting "out of stock" replies, I took a chance and bought this shoe. The width met my expectations and the wearing comfort was good. I've had reconstructive surgeries on both feet, but finding the right shoe for my shoes has always been a challenge.

Pros
  • Go to the gym and go for a walk when the weather is nice
Cons
  • Worn for 10 weeks and the sock burst. The quality has really gone down, now I'm trying to figure out how to return it through ebay.

Not for high mileage

These shoes were very affordable but didn't fit - they run a bit small. I almost always buy New Balance so I was a bit disappointed that they didn't fit me. And I've run many miles in my running shoes and their durability is questionable. But if you need a lightweight and very affordable shoe just to walk in, then these are for you. Luckily, sending them back was easy with ebay try and return

Pros
  • Great for hiking
Cons
  • Listed as Made in USA. When I received it I saw that it was made in Vietnam.

Waste of money good for me

Firstly, to be honest, I didn't buy the 940 off ebay. Every time I buy a new model for the first time, I buy it at my local running store. That way I know I'm getting the right form. He has been with New Balance for almost 20 years. In the past, comfort and quality came first. Unfortunately, in recent years New Balance has traded quality for profit. They started using cheap nets to save money. The problem is that the mesh is not strong and you end up with toe holes in the mesh. The cheaper the…

Pros
  • It would be very convenient if they weren't too big. Probably wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for stability.
Cons
  • They didn't seem to be the same size as the other New Balance shoes I own. I returned it.

Unusual toe quality issues - be careful

So I ordered two pairs of these sneakers (blue/grey and black/grey). In comparison I am a regular customer of the NB 800 and 900 V series in size 2E and have never had a problem. In this case, I soon had trouble with the toe piece of the blue/grey pair. . It turned out that a small part of the sock crumbled, as if it was pressed cardboard and not hardened rubber or something. It started chafing the top of my toe and got pretty annoying. I put my hand in the finger box and periodically pushed it

Pros
  • My husband has 4 pairs of these and loves how comfortable they are...that's why he has a backup for his backup 🤪
Cons
  • The shoes are less than a year old and both have holes in the top from my big toes. This has never happened to me and will never buy again.

Ankle pad is misaligned

Everything about this model is acceptable except that the collar lining of the anklet is taped too low on a boot. It's not a fatal defect, but I have narrow feet and need all the touch points in the right place. I have to cut the liner, fill the pad with meat, move it to the right place and glue it. in place and then sew the lining back to the outside of the heel. I can, but the lesson from my first New Balance purchase is that they don't take quality seriously.

Pros
  • great product made in the USA
Cons
  • New Balance said it was on the latest SL-2 like the 1540 - the forefoot isn't wide enough to be true - should have brought them back.

Even better than the previous version

At least this is my third time buying this shoe. This latest model feels even more comfortable than the previous pair. I walk about 30 miles a week and have wide feet. They fit great and feel great.

Pros
  • The sneakers are made in a classic combination of black and magnetic colors, which makes it easy to combine them with different training clothes.
Cons
  • The tongue can rub against the foot and cause irritation.

Poorly done: VERY disappointing

Both shoes are worn (where my big toes rub against the shoes). To make matters worse, it lasted less than a year. These shoes are too expensive for that. Don't get me wrong they are VERY comfortable but I will never buy them again because they don't last long.

Pros
  • They fit well.
Cons
  • The fabric does not stretch down the leg

AMAZING - my new rating

I'm an obese person with diabetic neuropathy in my feet and these are the best running shoes I've found! I work in an office building and am buying an all black pair as I write this review! Definitely worth your money!

Pros
  • The New Balance 940 V4 Men's Running Shoe is a versatile shoe that's perfect for running, training or even everyday wear.
Cons
  • Not suitable for people with wide feet

Perfect shoes for me

My podiatrist advised me to buy shoes with a New Balance SL2 last. I went to the New Balance outlet store first but they were sold out and a very helpful advisor recommended looking online for the 940. I'm very happy with it so far.

Pros
  • Just feel good for my 75 year old legs. Would buy again
Cons
  • The shoes offer good support but are very heavy.

Motion control works great

These shoes are my motion control, flatfoot shoes. I have to run to work and need support and resilience. As with some who didn't care about buying the right shoe for their foot type and body composition, my feet ached and ached and were also more prone to ankle rotation. However, after I got proper shoes to control my movements, my feet stopped hurting and I was able to run faster and further.

Pros
  • The shoe offers excellent arch support, making it ideal for runners with flat feet or high arches.
Cons
  • It lacks additional themes and color options

Good bang for your buck.

This is my 5th pair of these shoes. I use them both for everyday life and for running. They are durable and have a good grip. I can't speak for everyone, but I will most likely wear them almost every day for the rest of my life.

Pros
  • I bought these shoes for my husband. 11WW ordered. He was curious to see how they sit and feel.
Cons
  • Bought 1/2 smaller than usual and still too big

The success of the new balance

I was recently diagnosed with Achilles tendon damage. The doctor looked at my $10 soft-soled shoes and told me to change immediately. Any series of New Balance 800 or 900 will do. What great advice! In fact, I now have three pairs of New Balance and will not buy anything else. Do your feet a favor and visit New Balance. They really put on a great show!

Pros
  • excellent
Cons
  • Lack of breathability and ventilation

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The lightest New Balance shoes I've ever owned.

This shoe fits perfectly and looks great. I hate taking them off my feet! Right now I don't see a need for other insoles, but I'll have to wait until I have a chance to really test them. highlighted.

Pros
  • The shoe's lacing system provides a secure and customizable fit, allowing you to adjust the fit to suit your comfort level.
Cons
  • Can wear out quickly during high-intensity workouts

My favorite shoes: my rating

I bought a pair of these shoes two years ago. Eventually they wore out so I ordered another pair. When they arrived I tried them on to make sure they were identical to the original pair and then ordered another pair.

Pros
  • I like them. i use them You look good. Not the cheapest but good shoes.
Cons
  • Shoes can cause blisters

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great for long narrow legs!

My husband wears a slim size 15 so it's very difficult to find shoes. New balance to the rescue! He bought 2 pairs after realizing how well they fit.

Pros
  • They fit great and are comfortable.
Cons
  • Too expensive for some customers

They really damaged my bows

Worst running shoes I've ever used. They hurt my legs so bad doing CrossFit I had to take them off. The arches seem to stand on a rock. I ripped out the liner and replaced it with Dr. Sholls, which helped only marginally. I have had many NB pairs, there is something unique about the interior design of these expensive sneakers that is not compatible with my feet. And my feet are pretty typical.

Pros
  • The shoe's outsole features ABZORB cushioning technology, which provides superior cushioning and enhanced comfort at impact.
Cons
  • Not suitable for trail running

Revainrating 5 out of 5

High quality

I have had Blue 940v4 sz 13, 2E for 10 months now. I walked them about 900 miles. The kilometers covered were on asphalt and concrete surfaces. Due to heavy use, the tread is worn in the toe area. However, the shoe is still responsive and comfortable to wear. The toe box is roomy and the shoe feels light and breathable overall, which is hard to match in the stability category. I'm a tall man with very flat feet. It's nice to have color options other than black or white in a niche shoe category.

Pros
  • They break in well. Very convenient.
Cons
  • Shoes can be difficult to clean due to the material used.

Comfort, support and style

I had foot surgery in October and the doctor said to buy these NBs as I started to get back to normal. 7 weeks later I started running and training in these shoes and found them to be supportive and comfortable to wear.

Pros
  • Saved almost $80 and they fit great!
Cons
  • My shoes are less than a year old and the plastic on the heel left a blister on my foot. Very disappointing.

The perfect combination of strength and comfort!

I was looking for athletic shoes that were sturdy enough but still comfortable and stylish. NB940 V4 met all expectations. These are probably the most comfortable running shoes I've ever owned. I recommend unconditionally.

Pros
  • Great shot for people who need extra arch support.
Cons
  • Poor bad quality. Bad quality control

Great running shoes!

I run in New Balance (last 10 years) because I have wide feet and NB suits me best. After buying an NB 840 for several years I switched to an NB 940. Definitely a step up. Same great cushioning and fit, but better support and a lighter feel. Will be my favorite running shoe in the future. I don't use more than a half marathon for running medium distances. I've been running in these shoes for 3 months and they're still like new. I highly recommend this product.

Pros
  • My husband needs a 4E and this is a great option.
Cons
  • Not suitable for fashion-conscious runners due to outdated design.
