Ideal for fitting custom orthotics.

Sporty look with excellent stability. I can put on my custom orthopedic insoles with a narrow heel. This is hard to find on most newer sneaker models.

Pros
  • Size 13 is narrow, hard to find. Finding shoes that look and fit well is a bonus.
Cons
  • Can feel stiff and inflexible

Good shoes ..... in my review.

I've always liked New Balance. These are great shoes. They go well with good arch support, which is important for those who live 12-14 hours a day. Also the color scheme"normal". This opinion comes from an older, bloated man who likes more traditional, tame colors that aren't embarrassing to wear in public. I have weird feet and I have a hard time finding shoes that fit well and are comfortable. Although I've owned these shoes for less than 2 weeks, my wife told me to order another pair in…

Pros
  • These shoes are just great for running or whatever you like
Cons
  • Has a limited color palette

Comfort with support

You can't go wrong with New Balance. My husband had narrow feet and it was difficult to find shoes. He loves comfort and support. Nice break from constantly wearing his work boots.

Pros
  • Great shoes, great pillow
Cons
  • Shoes lack arch support

Excessive vertical constriction in the toe area

The length and width are true to size, the quality is excellent. However, the vertical taper towards the toe is narrower than comparable shoes. My toe doesn't touch the end of the boot, but I can constantly feel the boot's mesh upper touching my big toe due to the lower headroom. It's not an issue that limits my use of the shoe, it's just slightly annoying.

Pros
  • The only shoes I wear.
Cons
  • The product is probably fine, but the dimensions are not described with any detail.

Lasted three months - holes on both shoes in one place

Holes on both shoes in the same place after 3 months. For the price I expect better quality and more durability. Disappointed that they were of poor quality. I will never buy this model again.

Pros
  • Great shoes, delivered quickly.
Cons
  • Shoes can become uncomfortable with prolonged use

Ideal for narrow, flat feet!

A person with lifelong pronation (flat feet) often has a hard time finding shoes that are narrow and supportive. This 940 V4 is one of the best I've ever owned. I removed the stand and installed a Nazar support and they are perfect. Very comfortable, legs don't get tired after a full day.

Pros
  • Excellent support
Cons
  • May slip on wet surfaces

I love these shoes! - my new rating

It's great to be able to buy a new pair of the same shoes that you've tried before and know you love. I've bought them three times already!

Pros
  • Not the usual size; I had to buy 1/2 size bigger.
Cons
  • The shoe size may not be compatible

I tried New Balance for the first time. Excellent results

I've been a fan of Brooks sneakers for ten years, but due to supply chain issues I was forced to buy something new. New Balance 940 turned out to be much better than I expected. In fact, I'll probably buy them half the time. (And I buy new shoes every three months.) They fit well and have lasted longer than expected. I think I ran 1000 miles on a pair. By this point, the soles were pretty worn down, but the upper remained pretty much intact.

Pros
  • The shoe has a structured design that provides excellent support and stability to the foot, reducing the risk of injury.
Cons
  • The toe may feel tight

Best New Balance 1260 replacement sneakers

I tried the products from NB Fresh Foam. I find Fresh Foam too stiff compared to the good cushioning you get from their earlier 1200 series like the 1220 and 1260. IMHO the 940 is the best shoe to buy for those who have the NB series Love 1260. The shoe has good cushioning, no Fresh Foam, great stability, big toe box and 1/4 size larger than their Fresh Foam products. The only problem is that the 940 is usually sold at full price and now you know why. FYI, this shoe is a similar sizing to 1260,

Pros
  • This size 13 shoe is perfect for men with large feet who struggle to find comfortable and snug fitting shoes.
Cons
  • The lacing system can loosen over time.

Better support, but always more expensive.

I've been wearing New Balance for many years because of their good support. They're getting more expensive, so I tried Nike. After wearing them for a while, my knees started to hurt. Went back to New Balance and got good support after a few weeks.

Pros
  • The upper of the shoe is made of lightweight and breathable mesh material that keeps your feet cool and fresh as you run.
Cons
  • The shoe lacks cushioning technology.

The size does not match the color of the shoes!

I bought a black pair last week and they fit perfectly. When I left for Florida in early October I ordered another pair in light gray in the same size and style. Have to return as they look and feel too wide.

Pros
  • Fits well. Very comfortable with good stability. look good too
Cons
  • Not suitable for trail running

Lightweight with great support for flat feet! Great for running

There are no hot spots with this synthetic top cap. Previous versions of the leather/synthetic mix had seams that chafed the sides of my feet - this option is comfortable, supportive and much lighter. Highly recommended!

Pros
  • New Balance never disappoints!
Cons
  • The sole is not as durable as advertised

What I expected!

When I order New Balance, I expect comfortable running shoes. Throw in an X-width and these sneakers will hit the spot. That's my review!

Pros
  • How. Fit was good.
Cons
  • Some customers report poor quality control when purchasing.

THIS GOOD SHOE is the best in my rating

I'll break them in again. As a BIG BOY, I wear size 15, 4E. The shoes are comfortable with plenty of room for toes. I wish the heel was a little softer. But that's more than enough. The shoes also look and run well. In the next year or so I'll be going upstairs and buying one of the New Balances boots with a softer lining. But so far they fit my budget quite well.

Pros
  • A stable shoe but not as comfortable as the 840 which is a more neutral shoe. fits exactly
Cons
  • Requires a long break-in period

Heel heel off center but very stable

This is the most stability I have found in any shoe currently available. Off-centre heel strike due to odd angled heel cutout. The shoe hugs my foot with every step. This won't bother you if you land on your midfoot, but I'm a walker so I hit my heel hard most of the time. Some of the new NB shoes, you need to order according to your foot size, but that's normal. Shoe sizes, so order your foot size plus half. Most consumers will say that this is "normal". I would also like to emphasize the…

Pros
  • The Ortholite insole is removable, making it easy to wash and replace, keeping the shoes fresh and odor-free.
Cons
  • Shoes are not eco-friendly

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Bad material quality

The plastic in the heel broke and rubbed heavily on the heel. The lining material at the toe creates stiff, permanent creases that pinch your toes painfully. The heel may be partly my fault for not always disengaging it; fingers is not very good. It took less than two months before it became too painful to wear.

Pros
  • My dad needed new sneakers and he only buys New Balance. And this couple was perfect. He loves her
Cons
  • The shoes do not have reflective details for night runs.

Good shoes for running/training.

Comfortable, wear well and fit well. Unfortunately, my foot is slightly wider than size D, so I wear a size up and it seems to work. I had no problem keeping New Balance going for many years.

Pros
  • Great! Exactly what I was looking for
Cons
  • After 4 months the sock fell out of the shoe.

eBay did not deliver my shoes on time.

Shoes are great! eBay duet. My package was not delivered as it should have been. Shoes look used. I'm done with ebay and it has a dishonest owner.

Pros
  • The New Balance 940 V4 Men's Running Shoe has a stylish and sleek design that goes well with any running outfit.
Cons
  • The shoe lacks versatility for cross training.

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Plastic foot pads

The toe box of this shoe has a fairly stiff plastic liner. My pair has a crease on the right boot that curves inward and forms a rather sharp edge that rests on my pinky toe. I can't wear them for long periods which is a shame because otherwise they are a good supportive shoe.

Pros
  • Bought for my boyfriend and he loves them! They fit well and are comfortable. Also, his height was... 18.
Cons
  • You may feel heaviness in your legs when you walk.

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Sock material rubs against the big toe

I wanted to like these shoes, but after a walk they have too many irritation points. The mesh material is too stretchy, it lets your toes push out the sidewall to the point where your toe is practically on the edge. soles. It's even worse when you're walking on uneven ground or going down a mountain. The reinforced toe material inside is very noticeable. He flexes and rubs his big toe with every step. Over time, this will definitely cause blisters to form. I would like to note that for some…

Pros
  • Great fit and support. I usually buy 990 V5s but these 940 V4s are good too.
Cons
  • Not suitable for people with flat feet
