So I ordered two pairs of these sneakers (blue/grey and black/grey). In comparison I am a regular customer of the NB 800 and 900 V series in size 2E and have never had a problem. In this case, I soon had trouble with the toe piece of the blue/grey pair. . It turned out that a small part of the sock crumbled, as if it was pressed cardboard and not hardened rubber or something. It started chafing the top of my toe and got pretty annoying. I put my hand in the finger box and periodically pushed it out. Eventually I decided to return the shoes assuming they were disposable shoes. Then I started wearing Blk/Gry Men's 940 V4 and after about 10 days started doing the same thing as above but to a lesser extent. Okay, something is wrong with the toe cap material. NB fallen in price and inserted pressed cardboard? Are these fakes? I can regularly press the toe (inside) on this pair to account for this, but clearly NOT a coincidence. Of course it was now outside the return window so I decided to keep them. Future customers should pay attention, and if they are genuine NB runners, NB staff need to check their QC logs and materials.
