Revolution in my dream!

I saw this ad and wondered if it was just another trick but because I can't help but wake up with back pain no matter how hard the mattress or wake up multiple times a night, reluctantly decided to try this pillow for the legs. A little background first: One of the greatest discoveries of my life came when we couldn't store the many pillows I had bought while looking for a pillow. good night, my ex-husband, the doctor, finally said: why don't you just try to sleep without a pillow? (In the past, especially during pregnancy, I've tried sleeping with more and more pillows under my head, covering the full spectrum of firmness, only to wake up with even more pain.) The mere thought of sleeping without a pillow, seemed ridiculous to me, but since I'd tried them all and nothing worked, I did it. TUN, it was a huge groundbreaking experience for me! The damn neck pain went away immediately and I was over the moon! I've never slept on a pillow again (unless I sleep on my side), but the pain in my back has stayed with me over the years. I figured it had to be a mattress so I bought pretty much every type of mattress in every possible firmness but none of them gave me back pain when I woke up. Hmmm. Gave them away and decided to go the pillow route again (my collection of pillows under my feet if I sleep on my back [anywhere between 1 and 5], or a thick pillow or body pillow between my legs if I sleep on my side , which brought some relief, but was far from enough). Neck pain relief has changed my life, and getting a little back pain relief from my redesigned head or body pillow collection was enough to make me give up my search, thinking it was the best thing I could do. Fast forward 30 years after the neck pain revelation, I'm happily flipping through a Revain ad searching for mattress pads when this foot pillow ad pops up. Hmmm. I couldn't resist the curiosity and decided to check it out. Having bought pillows for a small fortune over time which only made my neck pain worse, I was very skeptical of this foot pillow. Definitely one last marketing gimmick, now only for the legs! But the lingering thought that I could actually sleep through the night with this and wake up with no back pain overwhelmed me, and since I slept on my back most of the time, this pillow just got better and better. I closed my eyes, hit the buy button and pushed it out of my head, fully expecting to have to return it. When my pillow arrived (I had already banished it from my mind as a spur-of-the-moment purchase), I unwrapped it and laid it on the corner of my bed, waiting for it to flare up (amazing how they compressed those pillows to pack!). . I kept stealing glances at him as he turned up the volume and found myself being discreetly upset about it. Finally the moment of truth came and I tested this little one. Here's how I did it: I'm short (5ft 1in) so to position it properly I wedged the bottom of the incline under the glutes a bit so my knees only rest on the top of the incline. and the very edge of the top square ended just below my ankles, leaving my legs dangling. Keep in mind I sleep on my back most of the time and can't sleep with a pillow under my head just so you get the full picture. On my back, no pillow under my head, with the bottom of that wedge tucked under the buttocks, thighs up, calves over the top square, feet hanging over the edge. Then I fell asleep. Next thing I knew it was morning- - I never woke up and woke up with no back pain! I've been using it for 4-5 months now and am happy to report that I've enjoyed it. They have many Slept nights without waking up at night and had no backaches in the morning.PROS: The pillow's foam is very strong and will hold its shape, providing enough firmness to support your feet without feeling heavy on your calves. It also has a machine washable zipped cover that won't slip under you. It completely relieves my back pain. I'm a firm believer that slightly flexing your buttocks is key to relieving back pain because it adjusts the curvature of the spine just enough to relieve pressure. The raised legs then continue to build back up, increasing the pressure relief. This pillow keeps me up at night (which I did at least 6-8 times every night). What's more, I've experienced not only uninterrupted sleep with this pillow, but also deep sleep, which combined with all the other benefits listed here, is priceless! CONS: Other reviewers have commented that the pillow needs to be a bit wider and I tend to agree. At first I thought everything was fine, but now that I've been able to sleep through the night, I found that I woke up a few days later with severe pain in one knee, suggesting that I was somehow spraining my leg during the night had moved back. a small pillow, just enough so that my knee dangles to the side and the lower leg stays on the pillow; hence the pain. If the pillow was a bit wider it would have prevented this. If you don't sleep on your back, this pillow won't suit you. The cushion cover becomes blurred and is now only available in white. It would be great if the case were waterproof. And now that I think about it, I'm not sure if this pillow is machine washable. Will have to find out. Most nights I sleep on my back all night, but sometimes I alternate between my back and my side. When that happens, I have to take the wedge out from under my feet, set it aside, and replace it with a regular pillow between my legs to sleep on my side. I do this very quickly and on autopilot now, so it doesn't stop me from falling asleep again, but I'm mentioning it here because when there are two of you in bed, it can get pretty tight with a regular pillow on either side. Sleep on your arms and that block on the bed if you don't throw a pillow on the floor for your feet :)). This comment is just a note, didn't count in my rating because you can't expect a bulky item not to take up space on the bed, it's inevitable. All in all, this pillow was a godsend and I'm so glad I bought it! I sleep alone in a large double bed so there is enough space to put a sleeping pillow next to me and the foot pillow under my feet and then swap them out at night if needed. It may be a bit of work, but the relief it provides makes the gym worth it! I highly recommend this item. I hope he helps!
