This dispenser has much thicker glass than my old one and the square shape and lid make it more expensive. It definitely adds class to the drink he's holding. The dispenser came with the valve removed but it was fairly easy to hook up. It took. E about 5 minutes to tighten and seal. But be careful not to overtighten. I have found that hand tightening is more than enough to break the tight seal with no leaks. No key needed to be used. I'm very happy with it so far.
