I've designed & developed LEDs for a large website from 2005 - 2009, created a number of niche LED strips, remotes, etc.As a result of such I've worked a myriad of LED products, more than anyone would want to. From this experience I can tell what 'model' of a specific product is being white-labeled and being sold by many, while being the same product behind the name.I've worked with 10 + companies of varying quality, and I can always tell when a product is being sold by the carton in Shenzhen and everyone is selling them. This seems to be the case with almost every other LED outdoor solar product, except for URPOWER. From the time I opened the package (4 for just over 40 dollars) I knew these would be a winner. The moulding quality is there, there are 'pull off' sticky plastics covering the solar panels. This is not cheap Chinese stuff, or even close and I've seen it all. In all honestly, I'm surprised a company in the US like the one I used to work for hasn't purchased 500+ in bulk, replaced the name labels with their name, and sold them, that's how good the quality is. I can already think of the name & copy in my head.I recently got a TaoTronics solar LED product that I have to return, arrived DOA. Won't be trying another company again, will stick with URPOWER and who they're white-labeling. All of the other brands on here, even some of the 12 LEDs don't make sense. This unit utilizes what appears to be (8) SMD 5050 chips, which are 'Tri-Chip' LEDs in themselves. I know since they were a major breakthrough in 2009 when I had them added to waterproof LED strips, and are still the most efficient, even being chosen over the new SMD 5630 which uses .4 watts almost per LED module. In addition, 8 is perfect. They are properly spaced out unlike the 12 chips versions, as being surface mount, the 5050's need a little breathing room. I can tell you this from personal experience. Way back a decade ago, we developed a 'dome light' for automotive use that we had to space out appropriately to avoid burnout. All said, this is basically the dome-light we sold for cars, spaced out, better built, with a solar element added, and the quality factor is there. Another product I really feel merits a review, coming from someone who's worked in the industry. I'm already waiting on a price drop for a 3rd set.If I were still working with LEDs, I would have already been working on pricing for 1,000 of these with the companies logo silk-screened on there, and it probably would have been a top seller at $19.95 each. These come out to a little over $10 each when you buy 4. From someone who developed items like these, and would have been working on finding who URPOWER sourced these from were I still in the industry, I can only suggest just choose URPOWER, and buy them in packs of 4 when they are cheap. Pictures coming from my applications.tl;dr - If it gets sun during the day and needs light at night, this is your answer. Have purchased 8 so far for my parents house, will likely 4 more for spots inside the house that get light during the day but need spot lighting at night, such as closet doors.
