Review on ๐Ÿพ Black Rhino - Ultra Soft Neoprene Padded Dog Collar for All Breeds - Heavy Duty Adjustable Reflective Weatherproof Comfort Collar by Vettee Welch

Review of two similar collars.

I have not reviewed anything I bought the day before and this is a review of two collars which I wasn't sure would be different based on the sale photos. Dynmeow (grey) in plus size for $11.99 and Black Rhino (blue) also in plus size for $19.95. Based on the product photos, what would I get for the $8 difference (or nearly double the price) with the Black Rhino? The Dynmeow, which claims to be made in China (Americans don't work cheap, deal with that.) has a stiffer collar, better aligned adjustment holes (see photo), but looks straight out of the box. The metal buckle is lighter and thinner metal rather than round and smooth, and the soft neoprene is very thin compared to the Black Rhino. The Dynmeow has much wider and more visible reflective stitching, but overall the stitching looks better on the Black Rhino. With a thicker neoprene and a less stiff collar, I decided to stick with the more expensive Back Rhino. Even though I'm paralyzed and only have one arm, putting it on and buckling it up was pretty easy (34 years of practice). Besides, he thinks well. I only included this because some, reading reviews, complain that the buckle is tricky if you take the collar off and on a lot (who does that?). I was concerned that the buckle would rotate under his neck and ruin the design of the neoprene padding. Although it looks tight and in its new condition, I can easily slip four fingers under the collar and the buckle stays at the back of the neck where the D-ring for the leash is. Without the use of a clip for its tags, the design of the plastic tag holder is (for me) impossible to use with just a ring. I think this will also stretch the ring a lot due to the width of the plastic label holder. It's closer to the left, and the plastic part is held in place by a fairly thin strap of material. I hope it doesn't break. Perhaps the only unsuccessful design element of the collar. I'm also curious to see how the neoprene holds up to scratches. Looks slightly torn. Its collar with the Blueberry logo (also in the photos if Revain will allow the number of photos I've taken) is also a bit stiff and has been replaced at one point due to a tear in the plastic clasp. So the metal buckle gives me extra comfort on those rare moments when he decides to pull a little, and the neoprene should help where the plastic rubs him a little. Like I said, I think both collars are probably made in China, but Black Rhino boasts that it was designed in the USA (for those who feel the need to be patriotic <rolls eyes>). I've tried to give a good comparison of the photos and I hope I can upload them all. While I don't know how the neoprene will hold up, I think the Black Rhino is worth the extra $8 compared to the Dynmeow collar. Also, there are only 66 ratings for Dynmeow and 16k plus for Black Rhino for what it's worth. Hope this helps someone.
