I used Wacom Bamboo Splash for about 5 years before I decided to get a new tablet. This tablet is a bit smaller, but the surface is smooth and the stylus shows little to no wear even after hours of drawing. The Splash tablet ran out of pens pretty quickly. The Huion works amazingly, it's very easy to set up and there's a lot more customization than the Wacom tablet (which was more expensive and didn't have advanced settings). buttons, except for two on the handle). The cable is also nice and long so I don't have to sit so close to the computer. I am comfortable on my knees or on a table. I don't recommend small tablets for artists with wrist issues, but for everyone else, they're great for both novice and experienced artists. I didn't have any problems with the software either. The Huion works well with the SAI program I use to draw and doesn't randomly disconnect from my computer or program like Wacom did. Overall this is a great value tablet and I am very happy with this purchase.
