I installed this in the back of our 35ft horse cart. I had to crash into the wire running lights. So check with running light. The first time I went to the blinker. It requires an active connection to work. Just turn on the light on the truck and the camera will turn on. The connection cable is small, so be aware. It works great at night. Point it a little closer back and you get a wide field of view which works great not only when reversing but also when driving to know if it's clear to change lanes. I used an outdoor PVC electrical box to store the wires and components to protect them from the sun and inclement weather. I then drilled a hole in the side to bring the antenna out and used the grommet hole to bring the wires out again. It also keeps the device dry. A NOTICE. The camera failed after 1 year of use ;) was able to email support (had to look elsewhere on youtube) and contact them. They replaced the block for free.
