The adapter makes a very good and solid impression, however I can't comment on the functionality as the DB9 connector is larger than the DIN standard, ie. If you don't have enough left-to-right clearance, the adapter's serial port will not fit and interfere with adjacent ports or the device case. I'd like to use it, but my standard computer interface doesn't have enough room for a plug. It's a shame. I would advise you to specify the physical size of the blue plastic serial port case in the product description so other buyers don't have the same problem. Of course, measurements must be given in SI units; Traditional US units may be optional but not standard.
