Review on 🧩 Wooden Puzzle Line by UGears Models by Patrick Johnson

I have now completed a few UGears models and I love building each one with easy instructions. Models I've completed so far: Timer, Card Holder, Wolf-01 Pistol, VM-02 Motorbike, VM-03 Heavy Truck with Trailer, U-9 Grand Prix (my favorite so far) and I'm preparing for this ahead of launching one of their latest convertible VM-05 Dream. Of all these models built, only the trimaran yacht disappointed me. Pros: Once assembled it looks fantastic. Some models come without wax so I usually use a small candle for this, but this one comes with a small piece of wax which makes things a little easier. Assembling the ship itself is a pleasure and the instructions are fairly straightforward. I think the cost of the model is fair given its quality. this is what the finished product looks like. Bad: Instructions on how to use the rigging (all small strings) are a nightmare and a real test of ability to carry, with the need for breaking things. UGears provides instructions for each of their models and they are all based on color images without words. This is most likely because they are made in one place and can be sold worldwide without the need for region-specific instructions. Unfortunately, these small images don't give enough detail about where each line goes. I've gotten two sails to the point of working, but this is a regal PITA and you need a third hand to ensure the lines don't get tangled in the gear as the sails go up and down. I put everything back in place and now all my lines are tied so the sails are no longer working. Not a big deal as it's just a demo but still a disappointment compared to my experience with other kits. It's easy enough to know where each line goes for visual appeal. If you're like me and like the mechanical aspects of these models, you might want to consider buying a different kit. For example, I play with the Wolf 01 pistol all the time in my office and it's fun to play with!
