I like a nice leather belt to tie my pants. This is an XL belt and measures approximately 48 inches in total length. Belt width 1 1/2 inches. The face is attractive with dark rims. (Image 1). It is made of leather, but close inspection (photo 4) shows that the core and back are made of hemmed and glued treated leather. In my experience it's not as durable as full grain leather for a belt. fastens the valve with a buckle. (Figure 2). If you lift the end of the strap where the stitching is, you'll only see about 2 or 3 thread points holding that clasp. I don't think this would hold up to heavy use and deducted 1 star for the stitching design and leather type. nope I can give this women's + men's Hastings leather belt a qualified 4 star recommendation for the reasons I have given.
