The best part about active control was it's ability as an automated tool which allowed us not only automate our deployment but also made sure all changes were reviewed by at least 2 people before they could be deployed into production environment or QA environments (if required).

I really liked its ease-of use feature where you can easily add your own custom scripts if needed without having any coding knowledge! It has helped me reduce my manual efforts drastically when deploying code across multiple test envs using different configurations including master configs etc., Also helps track down issues faster than ever since we have been able compare logs from dev env vs prod / qa emps log files - very helpful especially during outages!!
