The best headphones I've ever had!

I've had many headphones over the years, starting with Koss and Sennheiser models from the 1970's and 80's. I've always been a fan of in-ear headphones because the headphones hurt my ears after an hour or two. I've never felt the need to spend more than $50 on a pair because I never had to. Thankfully, the headphone renaissance of recent years has improved the choices available, but also created a market for models that cost $150 just because they look cool, or $300 for noise-cancelling models. These phones have fantastic sound - by far the most reliable and high quality. deep bass from every mid-range model I've tried, plus clean mids and highs. In addition, they feature 3-button inline controls that work with most Apple devices: typically, the middle button pauses and plays, double-click skips tracks, triple-click skips back, or announces the song title and artist, if you hold it tight Descent; The other two buttons adjust the volume when pressed once, or fast forward or rewind when held down. Please note that the exact functions of these 3 buttons may vary depending on the Apple product. The center button also answers or ends calls if you're using it with an iPhone. The microphone is built into the built-in controller and will hang somewhere near your chin during normal use. The people I speak to about this tell me that the call quality for them is actually better than normal iPhone use, and it's certainly good for me too. Work with any standard 3-wire connection to easily play music. I plug it into my stereo receiver, laptop, and other non-Apple devices to listen to music all the time. If you plug it in and only hear sound from one side, you either haven't connected it all the way, or you've connected it to a 2-wire mono jack. ALL stereo headphones behave this way, and the headphones are not to blame. Luckily, they have a relatively narrow fork, so they should fit fully even in a thick-bodied phone - many older models have thicker forks that don't always fit fully. Remember they are not electronic. Noise-cancelling headphones, like Bose's (as well as Sony's) triple-figure models, but since they cover the ears, they still reduce outside noise somewhat.

Pros
  • Slim, foldable body with swivel mechanism for compact storage
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
