Review on 📷 Olympus E30 12.3MP Digital SLR Camera (Body Only) – Enhanced Image Stabilization for Stunning Shots by Chris Edwards

I won't add much to the content - much has already been written about the camera in terms of technical details. But if you have an older Oly E-series DSLR, it's time to step up. I really enjoyed my E-500 and I have to say I learned a lot with this camera and it took me a while to get used to DSLR photography and all the controls. I don't think the E-510 or E-520 were worth the jump, although in many ways they are improvements over the E-500 (and its E-300/330 predecessor). The E-620 came out and looks like a fantastic addition to Oly's range, but the E-30 really caught my eye as the logical next step. I spent weeks running comparisons to include the E-3, but the E-30 ended up being the best upgrade for this seasoned hobbyist. I am incredibly happy with my choice and the improvements over my beloved E-500. very obvious. Better metering and better AF sensors really show in the shots. The improved viewfinder is a VERY welcome change for my eyes, which are well into their 40s. The rearrangement of the viewfinder data is noticeably better than the side-on version of the E-500, which was difficult to see. I also have big hands, which is another reason to buy a bigger camera rather than a smaller one like the E-500. 620 is. It feels - to me - very close to a film SLR in terms of weight and size, which is very handy for me (I worked with film 30 years before going digital). If you have an older E-Series and are thinking about an upgrade, this is for you. This is a logical step forward in Olya's current progression. I couldn't be happier. Note: It's fair to say that the 17th St. camera was a big seller in my case as Revain was out of stock when I bought my E-30.
