I don't normally write reviews BUT I bought this hat for a beach holiday and fell in love with it the moment it arrived. I don't really like wearing hats BUT we're going to the beach in a week and I know this hat is perfect for it. I'm rice colored and am thinking of a different color - I like that the fabric in the hat isn't very tight allowing air to go in and out - keeping you cool and not sweating. Some have mentioned the wire in the rim - it doesn't strike me that much if I care at all (but then again I'm a picky person, but not in everything) - in fact I didn't know when I ordered that the wire in the rim was - BUT that's one of the things I liked most about this hat. With many floppy hats you can't change the shape of the hat - here you can shape it however you like - so it doesn't look silly on you like some floppy hats! This hat is amazing. in my book for money and summer! I also think it would be perfect for my hat when driving a convertible VW to keep my hair from getting tangled and tangled! love love this hat!
