I got caught by this last hurricane and had to drink instant coffee. I know when I started grumbling without my morning "fix" but I did a "dry run" to see how to use it and how long it would last. I bought a gas stove and a 6 cup pot. With 2 scoops of espresso (more on that in a moment), probably as much as 2 round tablespoons, I set my smallest burner to medium low, and it was about 6 minutes before I heard any bubble noise, which happened about 2 minutes after. I just listened until I couldn't hear the sound as much as microwave popcorn. I love it! It was perfect for me. As for coffee, I've been to Italy and I remember one of the places where we served this brand. All of the espressos and cappuccinos we had were so smooth and not bitter that I could actually drink them without sugar. It is exactly like that. As I recalled (: I used the frother I already had for the cream.
