I can safely say that this Sylvania portable Blu-ray player is one of the best high end products I have ever owned. The build quality is excellent. Very durable and feels solid unlike almost any other portable DVD player I've seen. In fact, the entire device exudes quality, from the ultra-smooth working mechanisms to the gorgeous HD display. This device was really well made, by far the best Sylvania product I have come across. Now some people might say: What? 720p only? But what many people don't realize is that the human eye can't tell the difference between 720p and 1080p on any screen that's 19 inches or smaller. This is because the pixels are too small and compressed to tell a difference. On very large screens, the difference is clear. because the pixels are much larger and there is more space between them. So don't think that 720p will give you the worst picture, because that's not the case. Other 1080p portable Blu-ray players only say this because it sounds better than you'd expect from a Blu-ray player. The large 14 inch display on this device is amazing, much better than the 10 inch remote is full featured which means it controls all adjustable functions on the device except for turning it on and off which for some reason applies to many remote controls. There are numerous picture settings to ensure you get the exact picture quality you prefer. As with many of the best portable DVD players today, this unit will also play movies, videos etc from an SD card or flash drive. For me, this feature is a must, because it allows you to download films from the Internet from your home computer to a USB stick or SD card free of charge and watch them on a DVD player anytime, anywhere. This feature can save you from buying a DVD. Especially if you have kids who watch a lot of content. Children are not interested in high resolution. Another plus is the audio/video input, which allows you to connect many other devices with a standard 3.5mm cable. It even comes with a set of RCA cables that can be connected to many devices, e.g. B. Some game consoles, so that children can play video games in the car on long journeys. It comes with a wall charger and a car adapter. But the battery lasts about 5 hours on a full charge. I've seen many other portable Blu-ray players with only a 10-inch display that sell for $250, so this excellent $200-$250 Sylvania player is a lot cheaper, the best I've found have ever seen. It has stereo speakers, which are decent, but for the best viewing experience you should use external speakers in the headphone jack or good quality headphones.
