Review on Fiebing's Edge Kote - Brown Leather Edge Color Coating - 4 oz by Paula Pickett

I managed to trim the frayed purse straps by applying several coats with a cotton swab and removing the excess with rubbing alcohol. The process was quite simple and only took a few hours to allow for drying time between coats. However, the end result does not look like the original. The new edge is shinier and looks more like paint than the smooth rubber edge it used to be. However, from a distance it looks fine and much better than without it. This color was a warm chocolate brown so I had to buy a black color product to mix it in and get the darker brown I wanted. So in the end it's not that economical.
