After a recent remodeling project while painting for several days I developed a very itchy rash on my leg which I believe was caused by toxins in the paint. I've tried pretty much every OTC product I can think of but nothing has worked. A friend suggested trying activated charcoal. I was very skeptical, but at that moment I was ready to try anything. I was very happy when I found Schizandu Organics because of the quality of the product. If I were going to wear something like this on my leg, I wanted it to be clean. And I was glad it was made from American trees. I read the directions on the bottle but figured that instead of making a poultice I'd try and put it right on my leg. I mixed some olive oil and water into a paste and spread it on. I was shocked that the itching stopped IMMEDIATELY! It was amazing because it lasted for several weeks and it was the first thing that helped. I used less than a teaspoon of powdered charcoal to cover my entire leg. I wasn't actually planning on covering the whole leg, but this went a lot further than I thought it would, so I thought go for it! This container lasts a very, very long time. A word of caution, this is a very fine powder so use caution when opening the container. I spilled a bit when I opened it and while it wipes clean easily I'll put paper towels in it next time.
