Good set # for radios

The kit contained almost everything you need for a ham starter. 3800mAh high capacity battery, portable speaker/microphone, USB programming cable, 3 different shaped antennas, AC charger and 2800mAh backup battery. The only thing missing in my opinion is a USB adapter to charge the battery (5V to 8.4V booster and charger). The radio has a nominal output power of 8W, which is reasonable. However, in my tests, compared to a similar radio of this category and price range, it showed some disappointments: - Low reception sensitivity. Difficulty receiving local FM stations with static noise. Fewer NWR weather channels (162MHz) receivable Cheaper speaker, somewhat harsh sound Long whip antenna (NA771?) has poor SWR in the VHF/UHF band (2M/0.7M) (see photo). There is no mark on the antenna. The nice short antenna, although labeled FM/VHF/UHF, only works on the very narrow UHF band centered at 430MHz (see photo). This antenna can be useful when using this radio as a FRS/GMRS walkie-talkie (approx. 460MHz). Never attempt to transmit on the 2M band or you may damage the radio. The radio was sold under the BAOFENG brand (now replaced by the LYU LAM brand), and the BAOFENG is printed on the case, but I'm not sure if it's real BAOFENG or fake because of the performance and Packaging does not look like a real BAOFENG radio.
