They work, they don't work, they last, they don't. what's really going on I had a hard time figuring out whether or not they would suit me, but at 28 cents a light I decided to go ahead and try them out. I removed paper labels from two random lights and controlled them over time. They were very bright for the first 30 minutes. Then they started to dim and after about an hour they were burning at about the same level (and have been burning for a few days). Therefore they emit a lot of light in the first hour and after that they have a very long weak light trail. So they *work*, but not very brightly. You'll likely get a faint glow from your paper lanterns, and if that suits you then you should buy one. If you want a brighter glow, you can double the number of lights in each lantern considering how cheap they are. They're not perfect, but the price suits me.
