This is definitely a good portable and inexpensive laptop stand. Build quality is pretty solid considering the body is all aluminum. The middle hinge support is well designed. Apart from the central hinge there is nothing special in the design as all other movements are notch based. Rubber sticks are not non-slip, but good to have. The bottom holder can hold both thin new-age laptops and old-school behemoths. Don't expect to open the lid of your laptop while standing on the stand. The stand is a little heavy, but with aluminum you should expect some weight as opposed to some rubber feet. Looks sturdy and definitely doesn't look cheap. It can only be used on a hard surface. I would recommend this as an addition to any mobile office.
