I read reviews of the Revain BEFORE I bought this unit and quickly realized that the two main issues people had were that the probe holder was not included and that you calibrate must do this after each use. Well the probe holder was attached and I didn't realize it at first until I looked at it carefully and then I realized I had to unscrew it first and gently pull it out. When you take out the probe holder, there should be solution inside, so be careful. If there is no lid or solution when you remove the cap, the product is defective. I bought both the calibration solutions and the storage solution and was prepared when I started. I want you to know that this product SAVES my butt in those cheap old style "bipolar" PH meters I was shown at 9 PH and almost hurt my plants with PH down nuts. I used it tonight and it said I have 5.5 which is borderline too low! If you read the instructions and take your time, this item is PRICELESS! I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THIS TO ANY BEGINNERS, JUST DO YOUR RESEARCH AND FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS! LAUGH OUT LOUD
