well it seems to work. Installation was easy, you just connected the cables. It's easy to use, you just have to click the buttons. What I don't understand is why I need to adjust the resolution. I would think it's just a "passthrough" device that just breaks the connection and opens another one. Apparently I was wrong. This device does something different with the signal from the PC. When I plugged in my Dell monitor, my computer no longer recognized it, thinking it was a generic monitor with a much lower resolution than what was previously shown. Apparently this device actually became a monitor and the PC acted accordingly. Also, the display is stretched and the on-screen icons are distorted and look weird. It must have been the device because when I removed the monitor from the device and reconnected it to the PC everything was back to normal. I can understand the resolution change on any other PC. What I don't understand is why the PC thought the monitor was generic and the image on the device was so stretched and distorted. Well, like I said, it works and it's too cheap to bother with returns.
