Tight fit, cheap suede.
The suede on the inside of the foot (the area that doesn't get hit hard) has started to separate and peel. It seems cheap, seeing damage within two months of infrequent use (I probably wear them once a week). Overall the side is snug and tight making it difficult to put on but I'm sure it will break nicely over time.
