Review on 🦟 SBL Home Electric Fly Swatter Racket with Patented Wall Case for Effective Bug Zapping by Kurt Ferguson

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Arrived broken but seems to have potential

PROS: - Much more effective than the racquet style which has "layers of protection" on both sides of the zapper - Fun to use CONS: - Made in China - Supplied in part with multiple zapper rods / completely detached from the device, although the packaging box and the outer shipping box were undamaged (see photos immediately after opening) - One of the detached rods arrived badly bent - Also arrived incorrectly assembled; 2 pairs of metal zipper bars were crossed (photo) - the quality seems poor; While I did not receive a broken item, I can see how easily the wands can fall out and/or bend. He's weak - Weak current? He knocked out a fruit fly I watched break dancing on her back, partially dazed after I hit her. CONCLUSION: The overall design is much better than 3-layer zapper bats that have shields on each side of the current section. I suspect they sent me a returned item that someone else broke and attempted to assemble incorrectly because although the poles appear flimsy and easily retractable, they were inserted in a criss-cross fashion in two places. The most disappointing factor of all. is that I could only temporarily disable and not kill the fruit fly I was testing on. I actually grabbed him from behind with a piece of paper while he was kicking and partially stunned and threw him right back at the activated zapper and after the second time I was able to kill him. i give it back Due to the condition it was delivered in and the fact that it came with bent rods means there are gaps on the surface of the latch. I also bought Executioner, another brand with the same design, and it seems to have a much louder shock, so it could be stronger - I'll have to read the specs. I'm keeping the hangman and will buy a second one instead.
