Good for big heads/big hair
I have a small head and enough hair to get in the way when I don't want to wash it, but not enough to tie it up nicely. For this reason I am glad that the tie is adjustable at the front, otherwise it would be too big for me. There's definitely enough room for a lot more hair and a bigger hat. I'd say it's fairly water resistant, but if I'm not careful the edges get a little wet (although that might be due to my small head) and you'll get some moisture through the membrane if you let the shower your head in or hang out long. Overall it suits my needs, dries out between (daily) uses when hung and isn't ugly or plasticky.
