For my first bath-related purchase for my newborn, I chose this item and the Spasilk 100% Cotton Hooded Terry Bath Towel with 4 Washcloths, Beige . In terms of washcloths for your baby, I personally think these are hands down, the best washcloths I've ever used so far.The difference between the washcloths you get with the 10-pack and the other Spasilk set I mentioned is that the washcloths in the 10-pack set is much softer. I'm not sure if the softness comes from the 80% cotton/20% polyester blend vs the 100% cotton of the other, but these are considerably better when washing your baby. They are in fact, so soft, that I accidentally mistook one of these as a baby wipe and I threw it away.When my wife asked me one day where the washcloth was she used to wipe the baby's face, I said "what washcloth"? Little did I realize, that the next time we gave our daughter a bath, I recognized the washcloth having the same texture/feeling as a baby wipe. the "baby wipe" I threw away. Whoops!Anyway, these washcloths are superb. They are very soft (not rough on your baby's skin), yet thin enough to clean efficiently and absorbent enough to hold lots of water! A+!
