Review on 🐶 Havahart Wireless 5147G Expansion Kit for Enhanced Underground Dog Fence System by Sally Wiesner

I purchased a wireless Havahart 5140 G model and installed it with an extension kit which gave me a 750 foot limit. The installation was successful and I immediately had a closed loop. I started working on my labrador retriever by introducing him to the border and collar. The system was an instant success and the dog broke through the fence on the first day. On the fifth day, the system reported an open loop that is ongoing. I called customer service and reported the problem and asked if heavy rain could cause an open circuit and was told it was possible. I'll wait for it to dry. I kept looking for a solution to the open loop problem. To test the transmitter, I removed the wires from the wireless fence and took a piece of wire about 12 inches long, stripped the insulation from both ends and plugged it into the terminal on the transmitter. He showed a closed circuit. Now I can rule out the defective box. I checked the wire connections in the wire fence and they are all well connected. After all, it might rain. Then I found a loose wire in one of the connections and reconnected it and now I have a closed loop and I'm back in business.
