About a year ago I decided I was fed up with cell phones and wanted to be able to use a "real old fashioned" phone. I first bought a MagicJack and hooked it up to my computer, which worked great with a 2002 SW Bell phone I bought on Ebay. However, when I decided to switch to a 1978 Princess phone (not the one in the picture, which I've since traded in for a yellow 2003 Crosley Princes copy), I found that the phone made a high-pitched squeak when it was connected to the MagicJack. Since I really fell in love with the idea of a Princess phone, I started looking for an alternative to MagicJack. After considering many options, I decided that, for practical reasons, I can't completely do without my mobile phone, so this XLink BT2 can serve all needs. And so it is! It's so easy to set up, just plug XLink into a power source, connect your phone to XLink and press any of the buttons to pair it (via Bluetooth) with my mobile phone. In fact, it's paired with two different phones. It worked great with my original Princess phone and now works great with my Crosley Princess replica. When I and my phone are out (out of Bluetooth range), my "real" phone doesn't ring, so it doesn't bother others in the house. The audio is very good and I can answer with it. all incoming calls to my cell phone, including this one
