Review on Marshall Tufton: Black Portable Bluetooth Speaker - Unmatched Sound Quality & Portability by Pete Door

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Sounds good but has some flaws

Pros: Sounds good (can add some bass and volume). Long battery life Possibility to connect two devices at the same time (sound playback alternately). Three if you count the 3.5mm jack. 360 sound (there's a midrange speaker on the back) Cons: This speaker almost shuts off after ten minutes of no sound. You have to press a button to wake him up. Bluetooth radio cannot be turned off. I already had a Marshall Kilburn speaker when I bought this Tufton. I'm deducting a star because this speaker almost shuts off after 10 minutes of no sound. You have to press a button to wake him up. It could have just been closed. In any case, I had to get creative and write a script/program that emits an almost inaudible signal every 9.9 minutes without sound. Kilburn wakes up from standby. Tufton is not designed to wake up from sleep mode. CONS Another star removed because there is no way to turn off the Bluetooth radio while listening through the 3.5mm input. For example, I mainly use my speaker with a computer (3.5mm line-in). Sometimes I go outside and connect my phone to my roommate's phone. Well if I go back and plug my computer back in; Any sound from two phones reaches my speaker. Kilburn had a button to toggle between Bluetooth and Line-In. Tufton - no. Some may like/want shared entrances. This annoys me because I have to turn off Bluetooth on my phone and my friends' phones. If I hadn't found a way to bypass sleep mode (using my own script). I would return this item. This is more annoying than you think. By the way, the connection to the wall does not bother you when working in standby mode. But because it was me; I am happy with this purchase. But I can't tell you that.
