Mixed feelings on pressure cooker spares and accessories

I have really mixed feelings about this rack. I have an 8 liter CrockPot Express Crisp Crisp pressure cooker that I received for Christmas and I love it. The recipe on Debbidoo's website says I can use 5 to 6 pounds of chicken. I bought a 5.15 pound bird and cooked it as she recommended using olive oil and spices. The beer can I used barely fit in the holder. Putting the bird on the holder was VERY difficult. Once I put it in the pressure cooker I had to bend it so I could put the lid on. I cooked 20 minutes (recipe 5 minutes per pound). When I opened the lid after cooking, the bird literally broke in half and all the spices stayed in the juice at the bottom of the pressure cooker. The bird didn't really have any flavor and some parts of it weren't ready yet. I tried using my crunchy lid but all it did was burn it. I burned my fingers trying to remove the grate from the oven because the handles are very short and there is nothing to grab onto if a chicken falls apart. And yes, I used silicone holders to get it out. After soaking it in soapy water overnight, I ran the rack through the dishwasher and it came out pretty clean. There were still a few small pieces of chicken on it, but it didn't matter much. I still doubt if the shelf was worth the money.

Pros
  • Custom rack with critical design and thoughtful process for a variety of uses.
Cons
  • No performance
